Began training in 1989 at the Central Nova Karate Club in Abercrombie, Nova Scotia, continued training at the Calgary Chito Ryu Club for 7 years, beginning in 2000, moved back to NS and began training with German Sensei at Ryuseikan Dojo in 2007
Former member of the Nova Scotia Karate Team, competed both Nationally and Internationally medaling in both the 2012 National Karate Championships and 2013 Commonwealth Karate Championships
